Power Users undergo Training for BTMS Phase II

The 15-day training of Power Users for the Budget Execution Phase commenced on January 23, 2017 and concluded on February 10, 2017. The training was held at the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) central offices. Hands-on exercises during the training will utilize test scripts simulating actual financial transactions with emphasis on determining UACS coding blocks. 

Nineteen selected officers and employees from the Department of Budget and Management Budget and the Bureau of the Treasury from various divisions of Accounting, Cash, Human Resource, Property & Supply, and IT divisions learned the Budget Execution processes and functionality, usability and accessibility of the BTMS solution. The participants were carefully nominated by the GOP to compose the team of Power Users. These Power Users are eligible trainers, equipped with necessary skills to conduct the end-users’ training themselves as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). They will work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) for future training and mentoring activities.
